The B17 Imperial has a central recess to minimize pressure, which was first developed by BROOKS over 100 years ago.
In the 1890s catalogs, the oldest that we have in our archives, Brooks already presents a patented leather cut that promised a safe precautionary measure to avoid pressure in the perineal area.
More than 100 years before today's saddle manufacturers, John Boultbee Brooks offered the solution to a problem that is all too well known today.
Perhaps this saddle line was taken out of the range at that time.
Now we're reintroducing it to our most successful models, with an evolved and gender-specific solution for men and women.
